45° Face mills DN_H/G with 12-edges inserts
Ingersoll now offers a 45° entering angle cutter with economical double-sided 12 corner inserts to improve productivity in heavy machining and roughing applications.
The DiPosHexa series delivers high reliability and productivity when machining at high feeds with a reinforced cutting edge insert and optimized cutter design (semi-tangential positioning). The high radially inclined angle provides excellent chip evacuation and minimizes vibration due to the increased cutter body’s stiffness. This results in significant productivity gains in facing applications of general steels and cast iron.
90° Shoulder mills with 4-edged inserts MNHU04 /_09/_11/_14
Due to the high acclaim of the current MNHU06 line of milling products, Ingersoll has introduced the DiPosDuo MNHU04, 09, 11 and 14 line of inserts and cutters. The MNHU04, 09, 11 and 14 inserts and cutters have the same features as the MNHU06 line-up but in a wider range of sizes to cover various applications. The new DiPosDuo logo will be applied to the MNHU06 inserts and cutters as well.
End mills for THLS04
Ingersoll has expanded the HiPosTrio family with the new THLS04 insert and related cutters. With the introduction of the THLS04 insert and associated cutters, Ingersoll has expanded the line by adding an extra size to the HiPosTrio-family. A total of four insert sizes are now available with the Ingersoll standard range for HiPosTrio.
Cutters and inserts of FNKT05 line for miniature machining
Ingersoll has released a new line of cutters and inserts for miniature machining in the Ø8 - Ø14 mm diameter range — the HiPosSFeedV line.
The new HiPosSFeedV family is ideal for small parts and the miniature industry. It is also designed to replace the machining range of solid carbide end mills from Ø8 (Z = 2). This family of cutters and inserts improves productivity and reduces costs due to the advantages of exchangeable inserts compared to solid carbide end mills.
Double-sided 8 corner insert
Ingersoll’s DiPosQuad line is capable of 90° machining despite being a double-sided insert; the helical cutting edge reduces cutting loads and vibration during machining yet achieves high productivity. With the new DiPosQuad shoulder milling series, Ingersoll for the first time is offering an 8-edged, radial milling insert for 90 ° machining. In combination with the fine pitch, this promises maximum productivity and economy.
High feed mill 15G1B
New high feed milling cutter for roughing in diameter range from Ø 10 - 25 mm. Various insert geometries for machining steel, cast iron and materials of machining group M (stainless steel) and material group S (heat-resistant alloys and titanium alloys), as well as hard milling up to 48 HRC. In the course of the SFeedUp product presentation, the product description of our entire high feed cutter series of square inserts changes from GoldQuadF to GoldSFeed. The extension of the GoldSFeed high feed tools are offered as end mills, screw-in type milling cutters with metric adaption, as well as in the design of our proven Ts adaption.
High feed mills and inserts UNLU04/-06/09/-11
To meet market demand, smaller double-sided four corner designed UNLU04 inserts have been launched for small and high feed machining applications. The smaller size inserts mean more inserts can be mounted to the same diameter cutters, which will greatly improve productivity over the existing UNLU06 type under similar conditions. These are available from Ø10 (Z2) to Ø20 (Z5) as end mills and from Ø10 (Z2) to Ø32 (Z8) as screw-in type mills and also as modular ChipSurfer connection 'TS'. The cutters come in all types: face mill, end mill and modular types.
Copy mill 12L8J for finishing
With the new finishing cutters of the HiPosProB series semi-finishing and finishing applications on 90 ° sides or bevels, where traditional round insert tools were previously used, are now carried out more effectively and productively. Thanks to the special barrel shape of the insert cutting edge, higher path distances and feed rates can be achieved, with at least the same surface quality. The new series is offered as a screw-in type with metric thread connection in diameters Ø16/20/25/35/42 and as well proven high-precision type with a Ts-adaption in diameters Ø16/20/25. On customer's request diameters and tool holder types that are not listed can also be manufactured as semi-standard tools.
Ceramic inserts for high-speed & high feed machining
New ceramic milling line designed for high productivity through high-feed, high-speed machining of difficult-to-cut materials (HRSA), especially nickel-based alloys such as Inconel. With the growing demand of both the aerospace and power generation industries, the nature of the related industries’ components from difficult-to-cut materials — where materials maintain strength even in high temperatures — also grows. These materials have very low heat conductivity and are extremely difficult to machine, making it difficult to improve productivity. To meet these market demands, Ingersoll has launched a new ceramic milling line of inserts and cutters — CeraSFeed.
Barrel-form end mill 48E_
The proven exchangeable head system "ChipSurfer“ is extended for the area of finish machining with multiple axes. The new series of barrel-form end mills is designed to handle expecially long-lasting finishing operations with standard ball nose end mills or toric mills in less time while improving the surface quality. The high-precision ground barrel shape geometry is suitable for larger path offsets in semi-finishing and finishing operations. The large radius creates a softer transition of the machined paths and thus a sensible, visible and measurable improved surface quality. The barrel-form end mills cover the diameter range Ø12 and Ø16 mm.
Rough/Finish mills 47C_/47D_ /48D_ 1,5xD
Ingersoll is expanding the application range of the proven exchangeable head system "ChipSurfer“ by increasing the depth of cut vs. tool diameter ratio from the current 0.7xD to 1.5xD. The new milling heads are available in the diameter range Ø8/10/12/16/20/25 mm
Quick changeable solid carbide head for multiple machining
Ingersoll has introduced a multi-purpose, head-exchangeable line for various applications. MultiSurfer is an optimized milling cutter series for face milling, shoulder milling and chamfering of various machinery components and other applications in mini-sized operations that out perform equivalent indexable milling cutters with inserts. Ingersoll’s unique yet simple design allows for precise and rigid mounting of a head exchangeable milling cutter with the use of only one clamping screw, thereby eliminating the need for additional setup time. Furthermore, it is a more productive solution compared to the common indexable milling cutters, due to the cutter’s additional cutting edges being applied to the same diameter.
